Begin Higher Fines Zone

Increased traffic-violation fines start here.

Marks the beginning of a corridor (often a work zone, school zone, or safety-emphasis area) where statutory fines for moving violations are doubled or otherwise enhanced. The increased penalties remain in effect until an End Higher Fines Zone sign is posted.
