Deer Crossing
Watch for deer entering or crossing the roadway ahead.
Deer frequent this stretch of road, especially at dawn, dusk, and during the fall rut. Reduce speed, scan the shoulders and tree line, and be aware that deer often travel in groups; if one crosses, others are likely to follow. Brake firmly in a straight line rather than swerving if a collision is unavoidable.
