Ramp Metered When Flashing

The ramp-meter signal ahead is active when the beacon is flashing.

Tells drivers entering a freeway ramp that the metering signal is in operation only while the attached beacon flashes. When the beacon is dark, proceed normally; when it flashes, expect to stop at the meter and merge one vehicle at a time.
